O'FALLON, Ill – McKendree Women's Tennis hosted two GLVC opponents over the weekend, winning both. The Bearcats are now 2-1 in the GLVC.
On Friday, the Bearcats hosted the Saints of Maryville University. McKendree won 4-3.
In doubles play, the Saints take the point. In singles play, junior
Lena Greefs defeats Saka in three sets in the No. 1 match. The No. 3 match, senior
Sofija Djunisijevic takes down Alverez 6-2, 6-2, and freshman
Ivana Milkova defeats Brown 7-5, 6-4 in the No. 4 match. Clinching the match was graduate student Joelle Tabernal winning her No. 6 match 6-3, 6-1.

On Saturday, the Bearcats celebrated seniors
Sofija Djunisijevic and Joelle Tabernal, while hosting University of Missouri-St. Louis. The Bearcats won 4-3.
The Tritions took the doubles point.
In singles play, No. 3 match, Djunisijevic takes down Favaron in two sets, while No. 5 match,
Keira Greefs defeats Sweeny in three sets. No. 6 match, Tabernal defeats Bridges, winning the first set and then winning due to an injury. Clinching the match was Milkova in the No. 4 match, going three sets to take the win.
