LOUISVILLE, Ky. | National Fastpitch Coaches Association - McKendree University softball tallied 17 Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete All-America selections on its way to posting a 3.736 team GPA in 2024-25, which put head coach Heather Tarter's squad tied for ninth among NCAA Division II programs and second in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, as announced by the NFCA on Thursday afternoon. The Bearcats finished out their 2025 campaign in the GLVC Championship Tournament, ending with a 33-21 overall record with an 18-10 league mark, while totaling eight All-GLVC awards, three All-Region selections, and an All-American nod innow three-time All-American junior shortstop Lauren Harris. McKendree also added numerous other postseason academic honors with a GLVC Team All-Academic accolade, 19 GLVC All-Academic nods, two GLVC Brother James Gaffney Distinguished Scholar selections, and three receiving the GLVC Council of Presidents' Academic Excellence Award.
