SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The McKendree University Anglers take fourth in fifth annual Preseason Poll conducted by the Association of Collegiate Anglers. The Bearcats are predicted to finish fourth out of over 300 teams in the ACA Bass Pro Shops School of the Year Race by the end of the season.
McKendree's fourth-place finish in 2024-25 season marks 11 years in a row in which McKendree has had a top-ten finish, including two first-place finishes (2019, 2020). Within those 11 years, this year marks the seventh year in a row with a top-five finish. With a first place finish this season, McKendree would become the second team ever to claim the title three or more times.
The Bearcat Anglers had many top-ten finishes in the 2024-25 season. To start off the season last year, McKendree had a team finish 8
th out of 168 teams at the Bass National Championship. McKendree also placed fourth at the ACA Bass Bro Shops Big Bass Bash out of 250 teams. At the MLF National Championship senior

Jaxson Freeman placed third overall out of 136 teams. At the ACA Collegiate National Championship last season, McKendree had two teams finish in the top-30 (25, 29)
