Henryville, IN - The McKendree University Women's Golf team, after an early-morning drive eastward, are settled in and awaiting the teeing off of their Fall 2025 season. The Bearcats, under 11th-year head coach
Mikal Guffey, will begin play in the UIndy Fall Inviational, taking place at Champions Pointe Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday, September 8th and 9th. Guffey's squad has been in a good rhythm of late, coming off back-to-back NCAA Regional appearances, and having done so in three of the past four seasons. That adds to the adrenaline that comes with starting a new fall season.

ABOUT THE BEARCATS
Alba Camps Pascual (Sophomore - Valencia, Spain) will be the #1 for the first fall invite. Camps Pascual has left Coach Guffey "very excited" to see where her fall goes. The sophomore is just one of four returners, and was close to medaling at two separate tournaments during the 2024-2025 year. She finished with a 242 (79-82-81) at last year's regional.
Chiara Bortolotti del Reino (Junior - Mallorca, Spain) is the #2 to start. Bortolotti del Reino took medalist honors at the 2024 Kansas City Cup, besting 62 other golfers at that late-September event. Her 75, 76, and 73 scores for a 224 total earned her GLVC Women's Golfer of the Week.
Waritsara Rungrojanaluk (Junior - Bangkok, Thailand) serves as the #3 for the UIndy Invite. Rungrojanaluk was one stroke from being the team's best golfer at the 2024 Regional, finishing with a 236 (77-79-80). That score was good for a Top-30 individual finish, ending at 29th.
Reagan Martin (Junior - O'Fallon, Illinois) is the program's fourth returner (and #4 in the lineup) to start the 2025-2026 season. Martin was also another one of the team scoring players at the Regional, tying her event-best with 83 in the second and third rounds.
Cale Albertina (Freshman - Swansea, Illinois) is a local newcomer to the Bearcats, hailing from nearby Belleville East High School. Albertina, who is set to compete as #5 in the lineup, looks to carry her polished high school resume to the Bearcat lineup, as she finished her prep career by playing on the last day of the State Finals as a junior and a senior.
Reagan Potts (Freshman - St. Charles, Missouri) did not have to come far to find her collegiate home, either. Competing Monday and Tuesday as a non-scoring individual, Potts comes to McKendree by way of Duchesne High School, where she was an All-State selection her senior year.
