LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree Women's Tennis is set to begin its Spring 2026 season next week after coming back after the appearance at ITA Regionals back in October.
The first two matches back start out at home at the St. Clair Tennis Club against William Woods University on Jan. 27th and Oakland City University on the 29th. The team will then go on the road for a match against Washburn University on Jan. 31st.
In February, McKendree will have two neutral matches with Walsh University and Tiffin University on Feb. 7th and 8th in Indianapolis, Indiana. The week following that, they will once again be on the road for three back-to-back matches with Davenport University on Feb 13th, Grand Valley State University on Feb. 14th and Ferris State University on Feb 15th.
The Bearcats will be back at home for a match on Feb. 21st against Ouachita Baptist before hitting the road once again for match at William Jewell on Feb 27th in Liberty, Missouri.
March starts out with a match against Drury University in Springfield, Missouri on Mar. 6th. They then will have a quick turnaround back home with two matches on Mar. 7th against Kentucky Wesleyan at 9 a.m. and Purdue University-Northwest at 2 p.m. On the following day, they will host Quincy University at 12 p.m. The matches on the 7th and 8th will be played at O'Fallon Township High School.
From Mar. 10th through the 12th McKendree will be traveling for three straight days of play against Cameron University on the 10th, Midwestern State University-Texas on the 11th and UT Dallas on the 12th. They are then back home on Mar. 20th to play Northwest Missouri State University at 2 p.m.
On the following day, the Bearcats are set for two matches at 9:00 a.m. against Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC) and Rockhurst University at 3:00 p.m. The next week they will once again have two matches against Missouri Baptist and Missouri Valley College at 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Mar. 28th.
Then they will jump into back-to-back, away conference matches with UMSL on Apr. 10th and Maryville on Apr. 11th. The following week the team will be playing at SWIC courts with a match on Apr. 17th against University of Illinois Springfield. The team will round out the regular season with a match against the University of Indianapolis on Apr. 25th.
The Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament will be held in Greenwood, Indiana at Center Grove High School from May 1st through May 3rd. The NCAA regional and championships are both to be determined at the moment.
