EVANSVILLE, Ind. – McKendree Women's Swim and Dive added a number of podium finishes on the third day Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Championships at the Deaconess Aquatic Center Thursday night.  

In the 100-yard butterfly, Helena Kurtz finished in fourth place with a time of 55.78.  

Luiza Dias and Jocelyn Zgola earned a fourth and fifth place finish in the 200-yard freestyle. Dias stopped the clock at 1:50.58 and Zgola finished with a time of 1:51.31 respectively. Tumi Macdonell also earned a top 12 finish out of 24 finals competitors. She claimed 11th place with a time of 1:54.07 in the event.  

In the final relay of the day, the group of Kurtz, Beatriz Souza, Atzi Gomez, and Dias earned a fifth-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay, combining for a time of 3:51.19.  

Next, the team will be competing in the 500-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke, 100-yard breaststroke, and 200-yard butterfly on the fourth day of the GLVC Championships.
