St. Louis, MO - The McKendree University Women's Tennis team faced a tough test against UMSL at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center on Friday, falling 6-1 as the Tritons controlled the match from doubles through singles play. The Bearcats battled in several close matches, including multiple three-set matches, but were unable to shift the overall momentum. 

UMSL took the early advantage by sweeping the doubles matches. Lena Greefs and Keira Greefs, along with Kristina Bogomazova and Alessia Baiardi, fell at No. 1 and No. 2, while the No. 3 match featuring Ivana Milkova and Emma Zsigmond went unfinished, with Milkova and Zsigmond trailing 5-1 at the time it was called. 

In singles, McKendree's lone point came from Lena Greefs at No.1, who battled through a three-set match to earn the Bearcats' only victory of the day. Keira Greefs also pushed her match to three sets at No. 4, but came up just short. 

UMSL secured the remaining courts in straight sets at several positions.
