Lebanon, IL - Although the McKendree University Women's Tennis team saw its season come this past Saturday, news is still rolling in, with the Great Lakes Valley Conference announcing its Women's Tennis All-Conference and major award selections for the season that was. The Bearcats were represented by
Lena Greefs, who was named First Team All-Conference and was named McKendree's representative for the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award.
Greefs went 11-14 overall and 8-10 in the spring playing as the Bearcats' No. 1 singles player, including going 2-2 in GLVC play. In doubles, Greefs was 12-14 overall and 9-10 in the spring, mostly playing in the No. 1 pairing.

"Lena is a constant hard worker. She loves to compete and having seen her grow from a 6 to an 8 now (Universal Tennis Rating; aka UTR) is truly special and rewarding for me. I'm glad she could finish as All-Conference and with the Sportsmanship award."
