EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – The women's tennis team began the 2026-27 season, and the fall portion of their schedule at the SIUE Hidden Duals on September 4th and 5th in Edwardsville, Illinois.
The Bearcats as a team bolstered a 5-4 record in doubles competition over the weekend, while finishing singles competition at 5-12.
Freshman Natálie Syrová (Buková u Príbrame, Czech Republic) impressed in her debut, taking down Ohio Valley Conference First Team All-Conference selection Elena Palioura, while going 2-1 overall in singles, beating both Division I schools in Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and the University of Southern Indiana.
