(LEBANON, Ill., October 26)- Senior midfielder
Sulyn Keomanivane (Granite City, Ill./Granite City) became the new all-time leader in career points at McKendree University on Wednesday night in a 3-0 win over Ashford University. Keomanivane also tied the school record for career goals in the victory.
The Bearcats extended their winning streak to seven straight games and improved to 10-6 overall with the win. McKendree will close out its home slate with a match against Hannibal-LaGrange University on Thursday, October 27th at 6 p.m.
Keomanivane entered the contest with 117 career points and 47 career goals, placing her in a tie with former player Sarah Ryan (2006-09) in career points and trailing Kasey Stogsdill's career record of 48 goals scored by one. Keomanivane set the new career points record and tied the career goals mark with an unassisted goal in the 29th minute to give McKendree a 1-0 lead and its only score of the half.

Amy Cassiday (Rochester, Ill./Rochester) put the Bearcats in front 2-0 in the 64th minute, scoring off an assist from senior forward
Alex Hartwick (Belleville, Ill./Granite City), and junior forward
Carlee Luehmann (Granite City, Ill./Granite City) scored the third and final goal in the 71st minute unassisted to give McKendree the 3-0 lead and the win.
Freshman goalkeeper
Taylor Zerbe (St. Louis, Mo./Trinity Catholic) recorded her sixth shutout and had two saves to improve to 9-6 overall.
