Box Score (ROMEOVILLE, Ill., Sep. 28)- The McKendree University women's soccer team lost 2-1 in overtime at Lewis University on Friday night.

The Bearcats fall to 5-2-1 overall and 4-2-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference following the loss. McKendree travels to Kenosha, Wis., on Sunday, Sep. 30 to face University of Wisconsin-Parkside at 2:30 p.m.

A goal by freshman forward Alyssa Patterson (Troy, Ill./Triad), her fourth of the season, in the 11th minute put the Bearcats on the scoreboard early with a 1-0 lead.

Junior goalkeeper Maggie Dudas (St. Peters, Mo./Ft. Zumwalt South) grabbed a career-high seven saves in the match and held the Flyers without a goal until the 75th minute when Lewis tied the game on a goal by Maggie Moran.

A shot by senior forward Carlee Luehmann (Granite City, Ill./Granite City) in overtime was saved in the 97th minute, but the Flyers countered and scored in the 99th minute on a goal by Jessica Safell to end the game 2-1.
