Box Score (LEBANON, Ill., Sept. 3)- The McKendree University women's soccer team wasted no time in getting its 2012 season started on Monday night, scoring two goals in the opening 6:16 of play, to cruise to a 2-0 win in its season opener.
The Bearcats improved to 1-0 overall, and will open Great Lakes Valley Conference play on Friday, Sept. 7th at Maryville University in St. Louis, Mo., at 5 p.m. McKendree has now won 10-straight matches dating back to last season.

Cassie Kaiping (Waterloo, Ill./Waterloo) added another goal in the seventh minute to extend McKendree's lead to 2-0. The goal was the first of Kaiping's collegiate career.
The Bearcat defense held the Spartans to only three total shots in the match, and junior goalkeeper
Maggie Dudas (St. Peters, Mo./Ft. Zumwalt South) grabbed two saves in her first win in a McKendree uniform.
