Box Score (SOMERS, Wis., Oct. 5)- A converted penalty kick by No. 11 University of Wisconsin-Parkside in the second half was too much to overcome for the McKendree University women's soccer team in a 1-0 loss.

The Bearcats fall to 5-6 overall and 4-4 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and will host Missouri S&T on Friday, Oct. 10 at 5 p.m.

Both teams traded chances in the first half with McKendree being edged in shots, 6-4, by the hosts. The Rangers earned a penalty kick opportunity in the 54th minute and converted to take a 1-0 lead. The Bearcats had three opportunities to tie in the remainder of the game, but were unable to score.

Junior goalkeeper Taylor Zerbe (St. Louis, Mo./Trinity Catholic) fell to 5-2 overall in goal and had six saves in the loss.
