(DAYTON, Tenn., March 16)- The McKendree University bass fishing team had teams finish in 40th and 58th place this weekend at the Collegiate Bass Fishing Open on Lake Chickamauga in Dayton, Tenn. The tournament was part of the
Cabelas BoatUS Tournament Series.
The Bearcats will travel to Kimberling City, Mo., on Saturday, March 22 to compete at the FLW Tournament Series Central Conference Qualifier on Table Rock. Take-off is scheduled for 7 a.m.
McKendree had eight individuals compete on two teams in the tournament field made up of 62 colleges, 137 boats and 274 collegiate anglers.

Dustin Pendegraft (Summerfield, Ill./Lebanon), freshman
Curtis Lilly (Sterling, Ill./Sterling), senior
Adam Brookman (Opdyke, Ill./Mount Vernon), and sophomore
Reece Ellerbusch (Belknap, Ill./Massac County) finished in 40th place overall. The group had a two day total of six fish and a total weight of 20.18 pounds. They ended day one with 9.87 pounds, before weighing in a 10.31 pound bag on Saturday.

Austin Chapman (Blue Mound, Ill./Meridian), junior
Phillip Germagliotti (Highland, Ill./Highland), and sophomore
Derrik Starrett (Brighton, Ill./Marquette) finished in 58th place overall. The group had a two day total of three fish weighing in at 12.39 pounds. Their day one total only came in at 3.27 pounds, but had a great day on Saturday with a catch weighing in at 9.12 pounds.
