(Lebanon, Ill., September 8) – The McKendree University women's soccer team is set for its 2017 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) season opener as the team hosts University of Missouri-St. Louis at Noon on Sunday.

McKendree looks to extend its two game-win streak and open up league play with a win as the Tritons travel to Leemon Field on Sunday.

Heading into the weekend the Tritons sit at (1-0-1) overall coming off a 0-0 draw with Anderson University. Missouri-St. Louis opens up the weekend with conference foe, Southern Indiana.

Offensively, Lexi Norton and Rose Crabtree lead the Tritons, as both have found the back of the net this season. In net, McKenzie DeRouen has seen majority of game play collecting four saves.

Conference Leaders
Individually McKendree freshman, Alynnah O'Leary (Collinsville, IL/Collinsville ) enters the weekend leading the conference in goals (3) and goals per game (1.5). Sydnee Carroll (Millstadt, IL/Belleville West) joins O'Leary in the conference leads as she sits atop the points per game column at (3.0). Goalkeeper Zoe Brochu (Ajax, Ontario, Canada/Pickering) is tied in first posting a goals allowed average of (.000) in 150:23 minutes of play.
