(LEBANON, Ill., Sep. 20) – The McKendree University women's soccer team looks to keep their win streak alive as they continue Great Lakes Valley Conference play, first squaring off against Bellarmine University at home Friday, September 21 at 5:00 p.m. followed by a road match on Sunday, September 23 at 12:00 p.m. against the University of Indianapolis.
The Bearcats enter the weekend 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the GLVC after most recently defeating the Trojans of Trevecca Nazarene 1-0 on Tuesday, September 18.
Rachel Ford (Trenton, IL/Wesclin) and
Alynnah O'Leary (Collinsville, IL/Collinsville) lead the McKendree offense with four total points each, while goalkeeper
Zoe Brochu (Ajax, Ontario, Canada/Pickering) has made 13 saves this season and has notched four shutouts so far.
The Knights of Bellarmine University currently sit at 3-2-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the GLVC after most recently tying Maryville University 1-1 in double overtime on September 16. Bellarmine is currently ranked fourth in GLVC standings.
The Greyhounds of the University of Indianapolis currently sit in second place in the GLVC standings with a 5-2 overall record and 2-0 GLVC record. Most recently, UIndy fell to nationally ranked Grand Valley State University 5-0 on September 18.
