(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Nov. 21) – The McKendree University women's soccer program hits the road to Grand Rapids this weekend to take on the Eagles of Ashland University in the first round of the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship this Friday, November 22 at 9 a.m. CT. The Bearcats are currently 15-3-3 overall and enter the NCAA Tournament as the fifth seed in the Midwest Region.
The Bearcats enter the 2019 NCAA Tournament as the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) regular season champion and will be taking on the fourth-seeded Eagles of Ashland University in the first round of NCAA play. In 2019, the Bearcats have also earned several individual accolades with
Zoe Brochu (Ajax, Ontario, Canada/Pickering High School),
Madyson Mossman (St. Louis, MO/Ursuline Academy), and
Anna Hanger (Belleville, IL/Althoff Catholic High School) being name to the All-GLVC First Team while Sydney Carroll was named to the All-GLVC Third Team. Brochu was also named the GLVC Defensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row.
