Devin Caswell (New Athens, IL/) and freshman
Riley Bishop (Grayslake, IL/Warren Township) were among 30 student-athletes to be recognized as the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award honorees.

The James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award is received by 15 male and 15 female student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These individuals must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. The honorees are now eligible to become one of their school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced at the end of the academic year.
During the 2020 cross country season, Bishop ran a 6K in 26:31 on Oct. 10 at the GLVC Divisional Race, and Caswell ran an 8K in 35:51 at the GLVC Championships on Oct. 24.
