The McKendree University women's tennis team improved to 5-5 on the year following its 7-0 victory of Lewis and Clark Community College on Tuesday.

The Bearcats did not drop a single game in either singles or doubles play on the afternoon, with Sara Kalkenova and Camilla Fonseca holding down one doubles and the freshman duo of Emily Kettering and Rhyan Cook winning at two. Bailey Grigg and Anele Maplanka won at third doubles via default.

Singles play saw the Bearcats continue to dominate. Three Bearcats earned their first wins of the 2021 season with Grigg winning 6-0, 6-0 at fourth singles and Maplanka and Anna Marison winning via default at fifth and sixth singles respectively.

McKendree takes the court again for a Great Lakes Valley Conference match against the Screaming Eagles of the University of Southern Indiana at 4 pm on April 16^th.
