VANDALIA, Ill. - McKendree University Bass Fishing team had their third intrasquad qualifier tournament over the weekend on Vandalia Lake.
For the third qualifier tourney, the Bearcats caught 47 keeper sized bass, including the big bass caught by junior Harper Burkeen (Paducah, Ken./McCraken County), who had a 5.09-pound catch.
Senior Trey Schroeder (Crestwood, Mo./Lindbergh) placed first out of the Bearcats, catching five bass that weighed in at a total of 10.69 pounds.
Sophomore Kurt Litteken (Lebanon, Ill./Wesclin) took second place with four bass for 10.48 pounds.
Junior Devon Rathbun (Springfield, Mo./Parkview) placed third with three bass that weighed in at 8.12 pounds.
Senior Matt Cavanaugh (St. Louis, Mo./Kirkwood) finished fourth with four bass for 7.21 pounds.
Rounding out the top five was junior Harper Burkeen who caught two bass that weighed in at a total of 7.09 pounds.
