GREENVILLE, Ill. –
The McKendree bass fishing team held their fourth qualifier of the year at Governor Bond Lake in Greenville, Ill. this past week. Altogether, the team caught 46 keeper bass on the day.
The top finisher for the Bearcats was junior
Colsyn Head (Poland, Ind./Owen Valley) as he caught the only five-fish limit weighing in at 15.60 pounds. Head also snagged the biggest bass of the day at 4.62 pounds.
Finishing at runner-up was senior
Nick Holtgrave (Trenton, Ill./Wesclin) with four bass at 10.20 pounds followed by fifth-year senior
Trey Schroeder (Crestwood, Mo./Lindbergh) also with four fish weighing 9.01 pounds.
Rounding out the top five finishes for the day were
Tomas Matual (Chicago, Ill./Nazareth Academy) weighing three bass for 8.06 pounds and
Colton Hill (Patoka, Ill./Patoka) with three bass at 7.68 pounds.
