GREENVILLE, Ill. - The McKendree Anglers hosted the McKendree Invitational this past Sunday, Oct. 8 on Governor Bond Lake. 

The invitational hosted 20 teams from six different universities. Junior Kyle Hopping and sophomore Connor Hall weighed in three bass for 7.56 pounds placing second for the Bearcats. Senior Harmon Marien and senior Maxwell Trotter placed fourth weighing in two bass for 6.11 pounds. Rounding out the top five were senior Colton Hill and junior Jaxson Freeman with two bass for 5.62 pounds. Seventh place went to freshman Ryan Foster and freshman Angelo Malek catching two for 5.39 pounds. Freshman Hayden Fry and freshman Vance Roberts placed 13th catching 2.52 pounds.

The McKendree Anglers travel down to Russellville, Ark. next weekend, Oct. 14-15 to fish in the ACA Bass Pro Collegiate Series on Lake Dardanelle.
