Greenville, Ill. – The McKendree University bass fishing team had their third qualifier this past Sunday, August 27th at Governor Bond Lake in Greenville, Illinois. Just prior to the tournament a cold front moved through and the lake received three and a half inches of rain. High waters and a sudden temperature inversion caused tough fishing conditions for the Bearcats.

Harmon Marien went back to back and took home the victory with six keepers weighing 17.14 pounds. Second place went to freshman Parker Welch, with three bass weighing in at 8.31 pounds. Tucker Siminak rounded out the top three with two bass for 7.31 pounds including the big bass of the day weighing 4.33 pounds. Finishing in fourth was Ethan Fields catching three for 6.23 pounds and rounding out the top five was Grant Olsen catching two weighing in at 4.99 pounds.
