Lebanon, Ill – Mckendree men's cross country competed in their lone home meet of the season on Friday afternoon. The meet was delayed for over two hours due to weather complications. 

The Bearcat runners took off to compete in the 8-kilometer race among a field of five teams and saw sophomore John Bush once again lead the way completing the course in 26:44. 

Senior Jaxon Groves-Scott closed hard to finish in 27:53 with graduate student Michael Hayeck finishing in 28:47 and junior Caleb Klein completing the race in 28:53. 

Rounding out the scoring for the Bearcats was senior Oshawi Burgher in 28:53. Junior Braden Voss and Sophomore George Safo closed out the top seven with times of 31:30 and 31:58 respectively.  

Senior Seth Kasinger finished with a time of 33:18, followed by junior Caleb Kickham in 33:31 and and freshman Kewarny Feltcher in 34:40. 

"It was great to continue the tradition of racing here on McKendree's home course. I thought our team did very well considering the weather conditions and delays. We've continued to improve at each and every meet this year, and I'm excited to see where the season takes us!" said Coach Groves-Scott. 

The Bearcats return to action on Oct. 7 at the Brian T. Simpson Invitational in Saint Louis, Mo.
