LEBANON, Ill. – The McKendree Women's Bowling program was selected 15th in the nation and 3rd out of division 2 and 3 programs by the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) on Wednesday.
Finishing the previous season ranked 18th in the NTCA rankings with 423 points and narrowly missing out on the Intercollegiate Team Championships, the team is looking to make it to that next level this season.
Along with McKendree, five other Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) teams received recognition in the poll. Maryville found themselves in the 10th spot, while Oklahoma Christian sneaked into the poll at the 24th position. Receiving votes from the GLVC are Central Missouri, Lewis and Newman.
The team will kick off their season at the Warhawk Classic on October 10th-12th in Rockford Illinois hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
