GREENVILLE, Ill.– The McKendree Men's Cross-Country team placed fourth in its opening meet of the 2025 season on Saturday morning at the SIUE Cross-Country course.
The men's cross-country team finished fourth out of seven teams at the Gabby Reuveni Invitational hosted by Washington University of St. Louis.
The team was led by Diego Paz-Denis who stopped the clock with a 16:25.1, which was enough to earn a 26th place finish out of the field of 80 competitors. Just behind him was Blake Westrater and Reed Florey with times of 16:42.1 and 17.06.8, placing 32nd and 35th respectively. Finishing just outside of the top 50 is Elijah Baer at 51st with a time of 18:08.06. Rounding out the team is Brenton Good, Thor Gavin and Ostin Habeck who finished 62nd, 64th and 68th with times of 19:17.5, 19:34.9 and 20:15.9, respectively.
The Bearcats will be at the Bradley Invitational in Peoria, Ill on September 19th.
