LEBANON, Ill. – The bass fishing program and Head Coach Jon Rinderer have announced that Jackson Fuhrman has signed with the McKendree Bass Fishing team.
Fuhrman and his family live in Geneva, Illinois, where he attends Geneva High School. His high school fishing experiences include the IHSA, ICASST, and the Illinois Bass Nation.
During high school, he earned four ICASST Top 10 finishes and seven Illinois Bass Nation Top 10 finishes including a tournament win on the Illinois River. He has consistently competed at a high level across multiple trails and fisheries.
Fuhrman grew up fishing at Apple Canyon Lake in Illinois and enjoys fishing everything from the Mississippi River to the Great Lakes. His favorite fishing technique is shaking a minnow on scope but enjoys everything from ultra finesse to flipping and punching heavy cover.
"We are very excited to announce that Jackson Fuhrman will be joining our Bearcat fishing team this fall," said Rinderer. "Jackson credits fishing with teaching him discipline, patience, and problem solving which he plans on using as he continues developing as both a student and angler at the collegiate level. All these positive attributes will definitely make Jackson an asset to both the school and our fishing team. We look forward to welcoming Jackson and his family to McKendree this fall!"
While at McKendree, he will be majoring in Business and Marketing.
