INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. | Great Lakes Valley Conference - A four-score week for senior forward
Aubrey Andrews of McKendree University women's soccer garnered the GLVC's Offensive Player of the Week as the Bearcats went 2-0-0,
as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. Andrews buried an insurance score and headlined the weekend with a hat trick during the dominant bombardment of Upper Iowa on Saturday. Andrews and the Bearcats are back at home for their next contest on Wednesday, September 16, at 5:00PM in Lebanon as they host Drury in a rematch of the GLVC title game from 2025.
Andrews tallied her second career multi-goal game on the week and first career hat trick, firing the game-winner in the process of the victory in Fayette. She opened the Bearcats' attack in the 20th minute of the contest when she got the dish off, finding her second goal of the year. Her second goal came as an exclamation point in the latter part of the first half to make it 3-0 in favor of the Bearcats. He final goal was sent into the back of the net in the 78th minute at UIU, which pushed the McKendree advantage to 4-0. The Bearcats took the Saturday bout, 5-0, over the Peacocks. The first goal of Andrews' week came in a pivotal stretch at Lincoln, the 24th minute, which made the game 2-0 for her team. Andrews' goal against the Blue Tigers was her first of the 2026 campaign.
The GLVC Offensive POTW was the first weekly honor of her career. It was McKendree's first OPOTW award since late October of 2025.
