INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - No.19 McKendree University women's soccer (12-0-5, 8-0-4 GLVC) enters the weekend and the quarterfinal round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament ranking fourth in the NCAA Midwest Region. The Bearcats achieved their first-ever undefeated regular season with a draw on the afternoon of Sunday, October 23, tying with Missouri-St. Louis. McKendree continues action on Sunday, October 30, with its GLVC Tournament Quarterfinal game against Indianapolis at 12 PM at Leemon Field.
The Bearcats were one of nine teams named in the "under consideration" Midwest Region poll on October 17, as released by the NCAA. Currently, The Bearcats are one of two GLVC programs in the regional ranking as Maryville (8-2-6, 6-0-6 GLVC), with who McKendree tied against on October 21, sits as No.8 in the Midwest Region. McKendree still remains the sole unbeaten team in the region.
