Barb’s team honors included captain status two years, the Leadership Award in 1983, Most Valuable Player in 1984 and the Offensive Award in 1985. She was one of ten students in the nation named All-American and was selected for the National All-Tournament team her senior year. She was named to the District 20 All-State two years. Excelling academically as well as at the net, Barb was one of twelve women named to the National Academic All-American team. Her 3.96 grade point average ranked her first on the team.
