A three-sport athlete, Kate earned varsity letters in Softball, Soccer and Volleyball. Her accomplishments on the softball diamond rank her among the top five Bearcats all-time in four different offensive categories. Her 172 hits ranks fourth on McKendree's career list. Her 71 career stolen bases is tops all time, while her 105 runs rank third on the Bearcats' career chart. Her 24 stolen bases during the 2000 season ranks first all-time and her 19 stolen bases during the 1999 season ranks fourth all-time. She was named to the 2001 NAIA first-team All-America squad, and also earned 2001 NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors. On the soccer field, Kate played in 52 games, starting 42 of them. She scored 19 goals and had 5 assists during her career and led the team in goals scored in 1998 with 7 and finished second in scoring in 1999 with 8 goals.
