Justin earned four varsity letters in baseball and started all but one game in his McKendree career. He was a four-time Academic All-Conference honoree, a two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete and two-time NAIA All-America selection. Justin was named American Midwest conference Player of the Year and NAIA Region V Player of the Year in 2001 after batting .421 with 96 hits, 19 doubles, eight home runs and 56 runs batted in. He finished his career as the Bearcats’ all-time leader in batting average (.422), hits (359), runs scored (260), triples (19), total bases (552) and multi-hit games (118). He also closed his Bearcat career in second place on the NAIA all-time hits list (359) behind former major leaguer Randy Velarde. Justin holds season records for runs scored (96), hits (111) and triple (7). He is one of only two Bearcats to record more than 100 hits in a season. He earned a Master’s in Accounting from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and became a Certified Public Accountant.
