Basketball

As a letterman for McKendree basketball, this former player was known for his presence on the court, his team leadership, and his outstanding basketball statistics. A big man with a soft touch around the basket, EeJuan ranks fifth on the Bearcat’s career field goal percentage list, making better than 59 percent of his attempts from the floor. He shot 64.1 percent from the field during his senior season of 1994-95, which ranks sixth on McKendree’s single-season list. He is one of just eight players in Bearcat basketball history to record 1,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds. EeJuan compiled 1,099 points and 1,021 rebounds during his playing days at McKendree.

Hailing from O’Fallon, Ill., EeJuan chose to live on campus and was very active as a Resident Advisor, member of the choir, and a tutor in the tutoring program. He was also sure to spark excitement around campus with creative anties and humor. He remains close to the College and has continued his education by taking additional courses at McKendree. EeJuan returns to play in the alumni basketball game every year.

EeJuan worked his way through college at H.E.L.P. for Mom Preschool and Daycare. The experiences he had there are what led him to change his major from Computer Science to Psychology and Speech Communication, with hopes of helping children after graduation. Since graduation in 1996, EeJuan has worked for the Illinois State Police and as a Deputy Juvenile Officer for St. Louis County. EeJuan and his wife, Teresa, reside in Collinsville, Illinois. Outside of work, EeJuan enjoys softball, basketball, and fishing.
