Lori Junker Zeiter earned four letters as the top setter for the volleyball Bearcats from 1982 through 1985. During her collegiate career, she helped McKendree to three state volleyball championships, two bi-state championships, a twelfth place finish at the 1982 national tournament and a fifth place finish at the 1985 national tournament. In that 16-team double-elimination tournament, the unseeded “Cinderella Bearcats” upset both the first and second ranked teams before losing to the previous year’s national champion.
Team honors Lori earned while at McKendree include captain for two years, the leadership Award in 1984 and the Most Valuable Player in 1985. She was also named to the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) District 20 All-State team for three consecutive years, with the last a first team selection in 1985.

Lori continued her volleyball career after her college eligibility ended as a participant in the United States Volleyball Association. She also served as a head volleyball coach at the junior high school and high school level in Illinois.

After graduation, Lori entered the field of education as a teacher.
